Porch post heaving

We installed 3 porch posts as directed in "gravel" 1 1/2 years ago. This past month 3 of them have heaved up about 3 inches. How do we reset them?

They are on the outer edge of a brick patio. Right now it is about 65 degrees here. Can we make adjustments while the weather is warm or do we have to wait for spring?

What can we do to avoid or prevent further heaving?
