painting wall board in travel trailer

Repairing a travel trailer. A Light yellow stain has come through walls and ceiling. Nothing I have used will remove it. I think glue from underside bled through. Want to paint instead of replacing so need to know what type of paint that will stay on a shiny, smooth, (vinyl?)surface, but be durable and look good.
