Oven temperature calibration

** How do you [adjust] the temp on a Kenmore oven [model 911.47466690]? It is off by 55 degrees and needs to changed. **

If the temperature is out that much, there is likely a failing component in the system which needs to be replaced to correct the condition. It is most likely the oven temperature sensor (see the following link) which has drifted out of specifications but can on rare occasions be caused by a problem in the electronic control itself.

If the temperature reading was out *less than* ~35°F, on most models the control display could be recalibrated. How that is done for the particular model should be listed in the owner's manual. You can see how various different electronic controls get calibrated at the following link:
