I teach high school and my students use Bernina 801 Sport sewing machines. A common problem we are having with them is with the hand wheel. It either moves very sluggishly, which burns up the motor, or doesn't move at all. I've checked for thread being caught, and the needle position, and nothing seems to help. I used WD40 on the inside joints and still now improvement. None of the gears turn. I've taken the top off and can't find any way to fix the jam. Do you or anyonein the forum know how I can fix them? Our school district does not pay for any machine repairs, so any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
