Hardwood Floors-New and Existing

We are fairly certain that the two surfaces will be level, based on our recollection during the building process.

So, obviously if we are wrong, we will have to address the transition strip.

The people from Armstrong opinion is if we do this that we will have buckling, gaps you can fall in, and locusts. But based on the current flooring and how it is responded to changes over 5 years, I think we should be okay.

We are planning on laying out some of the floor before nailing it in to test our theory, so at least we should know in advance if we are fooling ourselves...
