Shelf Standards

They are called shelf standards and they are available at any home horror store, hardware store, or woodworking store such as Rocklers or Woodcrafters.

Also the woodworking stores have jigs for spacing the holes if you want to use the pins.

Or as the OP said you can get some peg board and use every X hole as your pin hole.
