Dear Dino,

I almost died when I read your posting, as I have the same thing that I started noticing about a month ago. This house was built brand new, we are the original owners for 3 years now, so I'd say framing and roofing is 3 1/2 years old. I had the builder's area supervisor come see this today & he is at a loss. He went in the attic and found no water damage, so not mold or rust. My ceiling lines are exactly 24 inches apart where the trusses run from east to west in the ceiling. The lines down the walls are exactly 16 inches apart, where the studs run down the walls. I have no lines down the north/south walls, but the west facing wall is much darker than the east wall. My dad thinks maybe the chemicals they treat the lumber with is having a chemical reaction to the drywall/drywall. The area supervisor is having the actual builder come look at this, it needs to be fixed, my house is new and this looks horrible.
