Put kitty on a diet!! Check the springs
they might be worn out. Personally I
think we're dealing with flying kitty inertia here and the only cure is either
weighting the base of the chair or not letting kitty jump on the chair whichever
is cheaper.
Good Luck Old habits are hard to break!!
