Countertop re-laminate

Posted by 737flyer on January 18th, 2008 02:47 PM

I am going to re-laminate our kitchen counter top which has a 90deg turn. The existing laminate is joined at the corner with a 45 deg seam.

1) Is it best to join the new top over the existing joint which is smooth and accurate or do a straight 90 deg at the turn?

2) If a 45 deg seam is better what tips to make an accurate butt joint?
