Clearing Floor drain

Hdrochoric acid will attack the grout.

But it might damage the pipes and drain depending what they are made from.

It is also dangerous to work with.

There are some other acids that are not as hard to work with, but still need caution. Look for the ground haze agents at the home improvement stores. but I don't know if they will do much good on a mass.

Try contacting the ground manufacture to see if they have any better ideas.

I would try and remove as much as possible mechancially.

Use a hammer and chisle. Don't try to use force, but rather work carefully and the peaks and where there are any cracks and voids.

Then use a wet/dry shop vac to remove any loose and keep repeating.
