we just installed wire-glass into solid wood doors,,, either'n bank vaults or mausoleums, i can't think of any solid 1s, tho,,, you should be able to cut the openings w/4" grinder & abrasive blade,,, get the lites as a fram'd unit & its all downhill from there.
