Hello, yesterday I bought a new Whirlpool Quiet Partner I dishwasher. I installed it and found that it would stay on the wash cycle and not move on to the dry cycle. I even let it go for an hour. It does stop and it sounds like its about to move on but then it starts washing again. However, if I push the Cancel/Drain button it drains all the water no problem.
Everything is hooked up according to the direction except for the drain is 14" off of the ground while the instructions call for 20" or the use of an air gap if it is less than 20". I don't have an air gap, but from what I have read this is really only to keep waste water from being siphoned into the washer. Is this correct, or could this be the problem?
