When you find out what KIND of furnace you have, you can inform others to get an idea of what the problem might be. Not all heaters are called furnaces and not all furnaces are called by the right term; they must be identified by brand and model.

Yes, you really have to find out the MAKE and MODEL to get good answers. There IS more than one machine made.
