moving furnace exhaust vent

I want to tak eout a small non load bearing wall to open up my kitchen, however the furnace exhaust vent and I believe the hot water heater exhaust vent also are located in the wall I want to remove. Can I move the pipe? or disquise it. What kind of clearance does the pipe need to from the inside wall? Please help!
