I have a kitchen island with a 4ftX4ftX1 3/4in. marble top mounted on 2 - 36X16X30 stock (fiberboard) cabinets. The cabinets are buckling under the weight & need to be replaced. What cabinets are strong enough for this job? What is safest way to get glued top off? What is approximate weight of marble top? Any tips for replaing top? Thanks a lot.
