Old kitchen table

Posted by tmheck102485 on January 26th, 2008 12:03 PM

My fiance has an old kitchen table, that was handed from her great grandmother. Recently she had it in storage at a friends house. But somebody put a wet towel underneath one of the legs. Well the legs were made by glued pressed wood and shaped to form the legs. And it seems that the water got into the layers and a chunk fell off and mold formed. And also the finish has seemed to fade. My question is how can competely remove the mold and restore the finish back to normal?
