Garage Door Opener will not close the door

Thank You for replying so fast.
I have the Liftmaster.
Exactly what happens when you try and close it? nothing
Does the light flash? I will try again tomorrow and see.
Do you hear any clicking? yes, sounds like it comes from the circuit board.
Does the LED on the learn button flash. Is that on the side with the torque set screws? if it is it does flash.
And if you see any flashing what is the code? as in morse code?
If you remove the belt will the motor run the full cycle up and down (tell by watchin the gears and the motion of the limit switch assembly. I will try this tomorrow also.
I do not know what happened to my manual. If you have one, how can I get a copy of it.
