Bathtub drain removal

I am removing the original drain in a fiberglass one piece tub & surround.
The previous owner broke the cross piece in the bottom, so the removal "tool" will not work.
I have tried:
1. Hammer & chisel on flange attempting to rotate
2. Epoxy removal tool to drain
3. Construction glue for metal etc
4. Test plug
