There used to be gas lights in my house. When I removed the old broken light fixture from my son's bedroom,I found a gas pipe sticking out of the hole in the ceiling about six inches. Any ideas how to get rid of it, and could there be any remants of gas lingering that might cause a problem if I use a hacksaw?
