We live in S. California
We are replacing our 30 year old aluminum single pane windows with Great Lakes vinyl windows. We have four hung windows inthe kitchen and four in the Master Bedroom upstairs. I am considering replacing them with Casement. I like Csaement windows except

1. The screens will be inside, how will they look?

2. Won't the casement windows be damaged in the winds, if they are open. Double hung or single hung won't be affected. .

3. Security: Some one could see that the casement window is open and could be broken in.
Does it have to be kept closed if not home (second story)

Any thoughts on it.
