I removed very large 7' x 4' mirrors from drywall and it was a little scary. the drywall paper will give out before the adhesive does so try to keep the mirror as straight as possible, glass and bending don't get along too well. It's best to cover the whole thing with 6 mil plastic and lots of duct tape before pulling it off the wall. pry the edges and start at the top, work your way down. keep the kids and the dog away from the room at all times. it will be a slow process but the paper on the drywall will come off eventually.
