Proper Air Compressor

I am doing a harwood floor installation throughout my house approx. 1000 square feet. However, I was wondering what the best or most ideal air compressor would be to have when installing a braziallian cheery harwood floor? Could someone help me. Also, What is the difference between the max horsepower and peak horsepower on the compressor as well as the CFM? All advice is welcome.
