Furnace wiring

If this is a 120volt furnace then black or whatever speed wire you want to use should be plugged into or wire nutted to line voltage somewhere, probably on a board in the furnace on a terminal that says cool then pick another speed, probably medium and attach it to the terminal marked heat there will be other terminals that say park put your unused speed wire there or wire nut or tape the end of it.
The white wire should be hooked to a nuetral terminal on the board the two brown wires go to the two terminals on the capacitor if this is an older funace there will be a relay in place of the board but a speed wire does not go to the capacitor unless there is a third wire going to the capacitor providing line voltage and if that is the case then you have the wrong motor for that application to make that work you need to remove the line voltage wire from your capacitor hook it directly to your speed wire and hook the two brown wires to the capacitor
