Modular home walls, Posted by John 2000 on August 28th, 2000 02:00 PM In reply to Modular Home Walls--HELP ME!! by LisaP on August 28th, 2000 11:00 AM [Go to top of thread]
Hi, Lisa, There are so meany systems of paneling on the market and range from Vynl covered panels to simple plasterboard panels, you have a space between the panels as you have said and they have inserted a pvc strip "T" shape, you are stuck with the, how ever, may I offer an idea, if you can locate the company that made the home, you may beable to get another colour.?if not then you are stuck with it,. you cant take out the pvc infill, and polyfill the joint, because it will move and the filler will fall out in time, but if the panels them selves are in good order then just wallpaper them again, there is no way you can cover the joint so it looks flat but if you know some one in the plastering trade, the can take out the strip, and cover the whole wall and ceiling with plasterboard then skim it with plaster, ( but we're talking big bucks now ) so I think its not worth it. the best way to hide the strips is to make them so obvious that you wont see them. Sorry, I cant be more helpfull.....John 2000
