Thanks for responding. We live in a rural setting outside a very small town. Inspections or building permits are not required. Where would we get code requirements from? The room will be a den with a tv, vcr, satellite dish, (computer, printer maybe in the future), a spa (on 220 plug) and a 2,000 ton air conditioning central unit. He was concerned that he would need a much larger wire that spans the distance from the original breaker box to the new box (app. 65 ft.) than the acutal wire inside the room, like a size 6 or even larger. He would then branch out from there for the actual room wiring. What would be the minimum requirement under these conditions?
