I just spent 4 hours during a power failure manually bailing water out of my sump pump well to keep my basement dry. Does anyone know a better way??? I have looked at generators, but the ones that can start automatically during an outage are very expensive. I have seen a few battery pumps that run off a deep cycle battery, does anyone know how well they work, and which is the best brand to get.
