Apt. with old telephone wire (R,G,Y) & phone jacks

Hello,

I am living in an apartment with old telephone wire (red, green, yellow) with no black wire. I wanted to hook up another phone jack to this. Is it possible? Do I just use the red and green wires? Or do I have to use all three? If I have to use all three, do I need a special jack? Thanks!
