I am not clear about the question.

But for how far the tile should go into the DOORWAY it should be in the center of the door when the door is closed.

That way when on the one side, with the door closed you only see the tile. On the otherside you only see the other floor.

Abound how the tile goes around the casing and jamb it is best for it to go under, specially the casing.

The jamb is straight and you can trip the tile to fit. But it is hard to accurate cut the tile to match the casing pattern.

If you have not installed the casing wait.

Otherwise get a jamb saw to trim the casing.
