I'm with jb on this. I know the product to be Snow & Ice Shield. You can lay it as you described, then you can flash with copper or lead. Then nail and cement in place.

I'll see if I can have this 'researched' further for you. E-mail me directly with an approximate date of the show and anything about the show that you remember. This will be 'key' in finding the show AND your product.
