We have an 8 year old house. For the past two months we get a strong sewer smell in the basement. 9 plumbers have been contacted, 1 home inspector, even Holmes on Holmes was called, all to no avail. Drains have been checked, clean outs have been checked, septic tank cleaned out, toilet seals checked, a hole was dug up outside the house to check the main sewer line going out of the house, It all started one day after we had freezing rain. It comes and goes . I started a diary. For 8 days there was no smell, but it was above 0 degrees. On the 9th day we had cold and snow and then the smell came back. Can you give some insight into this problem
