Outddor Fire Pit Question

I recently installed a propane outdoor fire pit. The pit has a 28" diameter steel ring surrounded by landscape block. I then filled the pit with gravel and then a layer of lava rock up to my stainless steel 19" round burner. On top of the ring I put on fire pit glass. I ran approx 8' of black iron pipe underground to hook to a standard 20# propane tank. Do I need to worry about the propane pooling underneath the ring and exploding? The whole pit is filled with gravel so there really isn't anywhere for the gravel to "pool."
