Marble threshold stain

Recently I installed a marble threshold between my master bath and bedroom. The installation went fine but an hour or so after I noticed several areas where a light pink area started to show up. As the evening progressed it became a dark pink and it almost looks like a stain. Nothing was spilled on it and I only used a clean soft wet towel to wipe it down when I was done.

Can anybody help?
