Hope you are ready for a lot of hot, hard and heavy work. We had our 20X40 pool re-done a couple of years ago - and yes it is costly, however, in order to mix the gunite properly you have to rent a cement mixer, you have limited time in order to get the gunite on the surface and ours was troweled on by hand. It took 8 skilled men approximately 5 1/2 hours to apply the gunite. A homeowner could probably DIY but I hope you have lots of help.
