Painting over glue

Posted by prattygirl on May 5th, 2008 04:37 PM

I NEED YOUR HELP!!! I'm a single woman who is trying to remodel a kitchen. I just removed the wallpaper and now I'm left with this yellow-tone glue on the walls (left from the wallpaper glue). I've washed it and it's still there. What should I do if I want to paint these walls. Any suggestions on a product to buy to either remove the glue or paint over it? I was told that there is a product called Zinsser Gardz that can be used to paint over the glue. Do you suggest doing this? Also, what about the Ralph Lauren primer? I was told that primer can make any surface smooth for painting. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
