Hello All!

Great forums. Can someone offer some advice on the cold room above my garage. I've taken down the drywall on the roof of the garage only to find that there is no vapor barrier behind it. The question now is how do I put a vapor barrier between the floor joists and subfloor above. someone suggested sprat foam is the way to go, but it's expensive. Could I just get some rigid foam and cut it to fit between the joists and caulk around it - would that create a vapor barrier. It's a lot cheaper than foam.

Thanks in advance,

Richard.
