Model number tag location

I doubt any printed information on the appliance would be "random".
The required information ("model" and "serial" numbers) should be on a label/tag either on the edge of the door or the front edge of the tub (see the following link). It will actually say "Model" (maybe just "Mo.") and "Serial" before stating that information.
