if you're doing new construction, you may want to look into building with liteform. (www.liteform.com)

Basically it's large lego style blocks made from 2 slabs of styrofoam held 6" apart by plastic brackets , that you can build a house with, just like stacking lego blocks together. the finished block house has a air space in the middle of each wall, that you fill with concrete.

it sounds like it may give you the results you are looking for, and is quicker than standard cribbing and pouring to build a foundation. you will end up with styrofoam on both the inside & outside of every wall. I've never tried the stuff, but it does look cool.
