You will need enough sq inches of open venting area to allow your 1000 cfm fan move the air through the holes. With a static pressure of .05 inches of water column, the fan would be able to move 1000 cfm through holes equaling 240 sq inches of cross section. As each hole is about 1 sq inch free area of cross-section, about 250 such round vents would be sufficient. As the front gable fent is usually about 14 x 24 with a free area of 100 sq inches, the number of round small vents could be reduced to only 150 or so.
