Garage door issues

We got an issue with the garage. A year ago one of our young nephews decided to hang onto the garage door as it was opening and ever since then it hasn't been opening and closing properly. Recently we replaced the garage door due to the fact that the top of the garage door got really bent out of shape by the garage opener. After replacing the garage door and playing around with the garage opener we hooked it up to the new garage door and now it bent that one too! Any ideas how we can solve this issue?
