sometimes it takes just raw enthusiasm.
Although the no glue joints etc could have been found by the old fashioned smoke test. You would still have needed to open the walls to repair them so it is good to hear they have been fixed.

The only question I have is why it started after a cold rain?

I guess the mystery of the stinky pipe is history.
