Hunter celing fan....no remote

Hi all,
I have a Hunter ceiling fan Model NO. 25730 with built in remote.
I have lost the remote.
Can I replace the remote somehow?
Yes I did contact the Hunter customer service and they may help me?
If I can not find the remote can I wire the fan directly to a switch thusly having only one fan speed.
There is a curcuit board and other items in the wiring housing that I think I can eliminate and run the fan.
Question is, what do you think?
Also where can I get a wiring diagram for this fan?
