Vented vs. Non-Vented

"I am building a new home and using asphalt shingles. Part of the home will be timber framed and that part will have 10" roof panels to consist of 7/16" OSB, 8 3/8" EPS, 7/16" OSB having an R=38 that are not vented. The home will be built in New York State.



1. Will the warranty be effected putting asphalt shingles on a non-vented roof panel?



2. Actual longevity(before need to replace) on 30, 40, 50 year shingle?



3. The timber frame folks only offer non vented roof panels and I'm unsure the degree of importance?
