Once upon a time, I used to sell the Filter Queen, and we used to love it when we came into a home where the Rainbow or the Kirby lived. Main reason... here is a person who obviously cares about how clean their home is and is willing to invest money in a product that they believe works. Question to all Rainbow and Kirby users. Have you ever shut off the lights in a room, and ran your vac under a Black light? Give it a try... was part of the demonstration we would give in homes. Kirby, being a standard bag vacuum does lose air flow fairly quickly. Rainbow is better, but all the bubbles on the top of the water, cause the dirt to fly up, and even though they have the secondary hepa filter, the display under the black light is always worth watching.
The Filter queen on the other hand, has a secondary charcoal filter, that no matter how much it gets used, always remains white as the driven snow on the inside. I know because I own one. Another user was correct when they posted that it is the only vac with allergy endorsements. Also, to measure, run the air flow test, especially with the Kirby. Take a heavy object in hand and make an air tight seal with vacuum attachment against your hand, then turn vacuum on. If you do this with a Kirby that has ran for a day without changing bag, the heavy object will stay in your hand. Not the case with the Filter queen. The black light test, was always enough to debunk the Rainbow.. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
