We also tried Ralph lorzen paint.. It looked like crap. We even used their tinting paint & put two layers on and it still looked like crap! So, we went & tried Valspar.. 1st - we put a gray primer (help to neturalize the wall) and we are now putting a 2nd coat of egg shell paint. I was told that when using a darker color that you may have to put 2 - 3 coats on. ICKY!!!

It's looking much better with the second coat.
