Caulking

Posted by ladyinla on July 5th, 2008 01:49 PM

I have finished installing my new tub surround and had some issues with it and had to reglue it and tape it down with tuck tape to get it to hold. When I pulled the tuck tape off and cleaned all the tape and glue residue off I caulked it and I have a couple of gaps that are pretty tiny. What do I do with these tiny gaps. Do I add some more caulking on top of this clean new dry caulking or do I use a different product that would stick to the caulking better? I have heard that you do not put caulking on top of caulking. Does that just apply to old caulking? I need to make sure that I don't have any more issues with moisture getting behind the tubsurround.
