Floor stripping Posted by Jeanene on September 7th, 2000 12:41 AM In reply to Just remember that if you use something flammable on a suface that big and it doesn't have a good se by Some serious help. on September 5th, 2000 11:17 PM [Go to top of thread]
Now I am really confused...Before I asked the question about the adhesive left behind on the 100 yr. old floor, I finished a 50 yr. old floor, using Formsby refinisher. It had some superficial paint splatters on the original finish, with some wax on top of that. It had been covered with wall-to-wall carpeting for 25 years, so I did not feel the need to sand it with a machine. It involved 2 rooms and the Formsby refinisher got me to the bare wood. I then applied 3 coats of oil-based poly. Does this mean I am in the same boat here with this earlier job, because I used a flammable product?
