Larry, thank you so much for your information... So how do you know that? Are you a scientist who works for the EPA or something? If not, where did you get your information? Here is my problem... I have a grey composite deck which is covered in little black round areas of mildew (possibly mold according to you). We scrubbed the deck with a deck wash which did contain bleach before checking this website. As you suggested, about 2 weeks later it all returned. The deck is only a year old and we live in an area currently experiencing a drought (in other words, it doesn't stay wet). If you don't think bleach is a good idea, what exactly DO you recommend? There is so much conflicting information and I have a disgusting deck. I would appreciate ANYONE's help!!
