Thanks for the advice. Actually the stucco is on the walls. The stuff on the ceiling I want to leave alone. It is a very old house (about 70 years) so I assume that the walls are plaster. I'm not sure how long ago the stucco was applied to them? From reading these articles, it would suggest that all I need is a spray bottle of water. A steam wallpaper remover would be overkill. Thanks again for your help.
