Yes it could. If so then you can get a commercial grade mold killer or you can use 1/2 bleach and 1/2 water solution and wet it down leave for 30 min. and dry it up with a fan or rags. Make sure the roomis well ventilated and you do not enhale fumes. This solution also makes gray wood brown again, incase you have a grey fence. Any spray container will work.
