Trust me on this, it REALLY WORKS !!! Take a good handful of sand/gravel ( used to soak up oil on garage floors) and place on stain, a thick coating. Using the palm of his hand and sometimes a wooden mallet, my husband RUBBED it into stain. He did this 2X a day for 4 days. Brush off gravel and presto the stain was GONE. My granite is a light gray and my olive oil stain was 3 plus inches in diameter. It was black. Don't be tempted to "peak" leave a good thick coating on for the 4 days. I am very confident with this answer.
